From the Brewer: More Happy Details of the July Can Release

As many may have noticed, we have officially announced our July can release, which will take place on Saturday, July 22. We will be doing a New England Style IPA with Citra and El Dorado hop hash called “Chillin” in cans.

Hop hash is a very pungent hop powder that is collected after the pelletization process. During processing, lupulin glands build up on the hammer mills, which are then scraped to collect the “hash.” This product packs a punch with a huge hop presence and a reduced green/grassy character. In addition to using hop hash, this will be our first release that we officially label as Vegan. Ninety-nine percent of the beers we release are vegan, but we have never labeled them as such — “Chillin” will change that.

In addition to “Chillin,” we will be releasing a New England Style Double IPA/Wine Hybrid with Pinto Gris and Sauvignon Blanc juice aggressively hopped with Nelson Suavin and Hallertauc Blanc. This will be a draft-only release on the same day as the can release (July 22). We hope to have some other tasty treats on tap as well, but this is a special one. Luke has been working on beer/wine hybrids for two years, and this will be his first professional release after numerous homebrew awards for them.

Finally, we are working on getting our first bottle release together. The Demogorgon is 13.3% Imperial Stout aged in Bourbon barrels. We have been anxiously awaiting this beer to come to fruition, and we have finally determined that it is ready. Look for more details in the coming weeks/months. We update Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter frequently, so you can always check there to see what’s new.

Finally, I want to give a shout out to Urban Artifact for inviting us to BEWILDERFEST 2 this year. We will be brewing something crazy for this one.
