06 May From the Brewer: Copious Collaborations
Hi, everyone! It’s been a busy couple of weeks! We’ve been doing a crazy amount of collaborations, so I want to fill everyone in on all the details.
First, three weeks ago, we did a Barleywine with Mash Cult Brewing. As someone who has never particularly enjoyed Barleywines, I wasn’t sure how this would go. But damn, this is a dense, flavorful beer! We used Maris Otter in the brewhouse, and then continuously fed the beer throughout fermentation to raise the ABV. Clocking in at around 14% before it goes into barrels, this is one crazy beer!
Mash Cult is currently in the process of sourcing the barrels that we will store here at Streetside, so keep an eye on the brewhouse floor for those.
Secondly, during the last couple of weeks, we have been working on our Cincinnati Beer Week beer with our friends at Mount Carmel, Urban Artifact, and DogBerry.
We brewed up a kettle sour and then added lemons during the fermentation —and dear sweet God, is it good! It’s a Tart Raddler called Obey. Look for that in our taproom and around the city starting June 18.
Thirdly, we will be doing a collaboration with Intrinsic Smokehouse and Brewery on June 10. Look for more details here soon. (Teaser: it involves smoked honey.)
Lastly, just a heads up that we have decided to push back our June can release to July. The plan is to do a New England IPA and a special draft-only release, so as always, keep on eye on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and here for this and all special announcements.
